You will know it’s time to empty the bin when the Food Grounds get close to the fill line inside the bucket. The app will also send you a push notification when it's time to empty.
If you have a Mill pickups subscription, it comes with prepaid boxes and liners that you can empty your Food Grounds into. The average household will need to empty their bin every 4-6 weeks, but it really depends on the amount of food scraps you generate.
Each box holds about two bin-fulls. We recommend storing them in a dry, cool place indoors with the bag liner securely closed until your box is ready for a full send!
