As a heads up, the install processes can get a bit dusty! We recommend doing them in an area that’s easy to wipe clean, like your kitchen sink.
Remove the filter drawer at the back of the Mill and place it on a nearby surface. If you're installing your filter for the first time, proceed to step 2. If you're refilling your carbon filter, remove the green filter lid by hand-screwing the lid screws counter clockwise.
Find your bag of activated charcoal. Tear open the pull tab on the charcoal bag. Pour the entire contents of the bag into the charcoal drawer. A little dust is totally normal at this step.
Then, locate your green charcoal drawer lid. Toe-in the lid onto the drawer so that it lays flat. Using your hands, screw in the lid by using your hands to turn the screws clockwise.
Gently shake the drawer back and forth on an even surface – like a countertop or table – to ensure the charcoal is level and evenly distributed within the charcoal drawer.
- Finally, insert your charcoal drawer into the back of the Mill. You should hear it softly click into place into the back of the Mill.
