After you’ve emptied a full batch of Food Grounds, you’ll need to return your bucket to the bin. These tips should help!
2nd gen.
- The bucket doesn't have a left or right, it can put back in either way. The handle can also rest in either direction.
- It's okay of the bucket doesn't seem perfectly in place. Once you close the lid, the gears will turn for a few seconds while the bucket settles into place.
- If the bucket still doesn't settle and the lid isn't closing, try turning the grinding paddles by hand while the bucket is in the bin.
- If the bucket is in place but the app isn't recognizing the bucket, you may need to reset your bin's scale. Learn more here.
1st gen.
- Be sure your bucket is lined up correctly. There is a yellow sticker on one side of your bucket that should line up with the yellow sticker on the inside left of the kitchen bin. Another quick way to check is the bucket handle should be able to sit flat.
- If your lid won’t close all the way. Sometimes the bucket won’t seat correctly if the coupling that connects it to the motor gets turned out of alignment.
- Try placing the bucket into the bin a bit more firmly and it should seat correctly — otherwise you might have to spin the coupling on the bottom a bit to get it to align with the bin.
Check the app
If your bucket isn’t seated correctly, you will see a reminder on the Mill app home screen.
