As long as your lid can still close all the way, your device should be able to run, but be careful not to overfill a bucket already full of Food Grounds.
If you’re unable to close the lid, we recommend removing some kitchen scraps, allowing the device to run a Dry & Grind cycle, and then adding the remaining kitchen scraps the next day.
If your Food Grounds are above the fill line, there is a risk that your device could jam or that kitchen scraps on top may not get dried and ground — and that’s no fun to deal with! We recommend you empty those Food Grounds into a Food Grounds return box before adding more kitchen scraps.
If your bin is very full but you can close the lid, we recommend setting your lock to "Locked when running" or "Always locked" so the lid will stay closed during the cycle. If the bin is set to "Always unlocked," there is a chance that some food scraps may push the lid open causing the Dry & Grind cycle to stop running.
