We do not recommend purchasing Mill from unauthorized retailers and resell markets. Even if a bin is unopened, the bin is tied to the email of purchase. This means you cannot just open and use after buying from a reseller.
Keep these things in mind before taking the risk:
- Only those that have purchased their Mill can resell a bin. Mill offers rental bins, so verify that the reseller has purchased the bin by requesting a copy of the invoice tied to their name. We are unable to support with usage of a bin currently under a rental contract. Report these sellers to the point of purchase and return the bin.
- The original purchaser will need to transfer their account to you. Every Mill account is tied to the email the purchaser used at sign up.
- You will be ineligible to make warranty claims if you are not the original purchaser or have purchased a bin from an unauthorized third-party, such as Ebay, Facebook Marketplace, Resella, etc. Only a purchase directly from Mill.com comes with warranty.
ALERT: Customers who are renting the Mill bin are unable to resell the bin as indicated in our Terms of Service. Rental bins can not only not be resold, but the details cannot be transferred to another person. Before purchasing a Mill from a resell site, we recommend you verifying that the seller has purchased the bin by asking for a copy of the paid invoice. Mill is unable to assist with issues that arise from purchasing a rental bin.
If you suspect someone is selling a rented Mill, please report the listing and seller information to Mill at support [@] mill [DOT] com.
