If you have more than one Mill food recycler, you can now manage up to 10 bins under a single set of login credentials (i.e., one email address and password). This feature is available on the Mill mobile app version 2.16.2 and above.
To pair another bin to your account: *
- Go to Menu
(top right) > Account > “Add new Bin”
- You will then go through the same setup flow for your next bin and will repeat this process for each bin.
- The bins you pair will be added to your Bin list, that you can navigate between on the Mill app homepage (i.e., Bin tab)
Managing multiple Mills:
- Once you have >1 food recycler paired to your account, you will see the Bin Name at the top left of Mill app’s home screen. The home page will default to a single bin.
- To switch between bins, simply tap the Bin Name and you’ll see a list of your paired bins that you can choose from.
- To update any of your bin settings (e.g., Bin Name, Dry & Grind schedule start time, Lid Lock settings), select a bin from your app’s home page and then tap Menu > Device. The app’s Device page(s) will show the name of your selected bin and enable you to change settings for that selected bin. Please note that you cannot bulk update settings for all of your bins.
- As long as you have push notifications enabled, you will receive notifications for all the bins paired to your account, regardless of which bin your app’s home page currently defaults to. When tapped, your notifications (for example, when a bin is ready to be emptied) will include the Bin name in the notification and will link to the relevant bin within the app.
- Your impact tab will automatically aggregate impact across all of your Mill bins, including cumulative and monthly lbs of food scraps, as well as bin energy usage (for 2nd gen. bins). Please note that you will not be able to see impact information for individual bins.
*Note: Currently, to purchase multiple Mill food recyclers, you must use different email addresses for each purchase. As such, if you already have multiple Mills associated with different logins, you can decide which existing Mill-associated email you want to be your (parent) login email going forward. You then need to factory reset each of the bins paired to your other email addresses (Menu > Device > Remove Bin > Factory Reset). Once a bin is factory reset, it can then be paired to the (parent) email address you selected, following the steps above.
