What’s included:
- 1x return labels
- 1x new bin
- Save the box to return your old bin
Instructions
- Factory reset your old bin: open the Mill app and navigate to Menu
→ Device and tap “Factory Reset.” Follow the steps and then unplug from the wall and then the back of the bin. You can also just start the factory reset steps, exit the app and come back, but it's a good best practice to factory reset before returning it back.
- Unpack your new bin. It comes in a special box that opens from the bottom — no need to open the top of the box.

- Tilt the box onto its side. Cut the tape on all 4 sides of the bottom of the box

- Remove the clips (4 total, 2 on each side). Release each clip by pulling out the latch to unlock, then pulling out the clip from the box completely.

- Lift the outer box up off the base. Ta da! (It’s like TV packaging)

- Lift the bin out of the base using the 2 rear handles.
3. Swap your bins

- Bring your bins together to complete your final swaps.
- Unplug the power cord and remove the charcoal drawer from your old bin and put it in your new bin, unless your new bin came with a new type of charcoal filter - in that case, you can just use the new filter and send the old one back to us.

- Place your bucket into your new bin.

- Move your bin back to your preferred spot. Make sure your bin is on a hard, even floor so it’s ready for the daily grind.

- Open the Mill app and tap “Set up your bin.” Skip the “Unboxing” chapter and go straight to the “Set up your bin” chapter.
4. Prepare your old bin for its journey back to Mill
5. Place your old bin into the foam base. Be sure the pedal is on the side with the front cut out or it will not seat properly.
6. If the top foam is still in the top of the box, bring the large box over the top and shuffle it down over the base packaging until it is touching the floor.
If the top foam has been removed from the top of the box, place the top foam on the top of the bin and press down until it fits snugly.
7. Insert the 4 rectangular clips on both sides and push in the latches to lock them.
8. Tape the top and bottom of the box with at least 2 strips of tape.
9. Place the FedEx return label OVER the original shipping label.
10. Self-schedule a FedEx pickup or reach out to Mill Support when your bin is ready to be picked up. On the pickup day, leave the box outside for FedEx.
